Bob Flagg Inducted into the MSA Hall of Fame

Despite often work ing behind the scenes, his contributions to the organization have been invaluable. His commitment to the MSA and its mis sion is evident in the numerous roles he has taken on over the years. Currently, Bob serves on the MSA Steer ing Committee, where his expertise and knowledge of the organization have been instrumental in driving positive change. Additionally, he has been responsible for managing the MSA’s IT systems, includ ing developing and maintaining the membership database that is still in use today. Notably, Bob’s member number is Number 1, making him the first member Larry’s involvement in snowmobiling began in 1988 when he joined the East ern Maine Snowmobile Club (EMSC). He quickly became an integral part of the club, serving as President and, until his passing, holding the crucial role of Trail Master. His commitment to ensuring the EMSC trails were safe, enjoyable, and well-maintained was unwavering, and his dedication to the club was inspiring. However, Larry’s vision extended far beyond the local level. He recognized the importance of a unified snowmobil ing community in Maine and became deeply involved with the Maine Snowmo bile Association. His contributions to the MSA were vast and impactful, demon strating a comprehensive understanding of the issues facing the sport statewide. He served in various capacities, includ ing Trails Chair, member of the Advisory Council, and Eastern Regional Director, representing the interests of snowmobil ers across a broad geographical area. Sadly, Larry’s induction into the Maine Snowmobile Hall of Fame was posthu mous, with his wife Eileen accepting the award on his behalf. His legacy will con tinue to inspire and motivate future gen erations of snowmobilers, ensuring that the sport remains vibrant and thriving for years to come.
