MPC configurator features enhanced tools The configurator features integrated flow data such as flow coefficient (Cv), volumetric flow rate, and volume for a wide variety of fluids. Users can simulate valve actuation to see how the flow reacts. Flowstreams are colour-coded for easy evaluation. Component

Featuring 3D computer aided design output, live flow evaluation, and integrated flow data, the updated Swagelok MPC configurator makes it easy to develop complete process analyser and sample-handing systems. The program provides engineers with an interactive tool to build and assem- ble ANSI/ISA 76.00.02-compliant miniature modular designs prior to the purchase process. The software is available for download from www. swagelok.com or as a CD installation from an authorised Swagelok sales and service centre. “With the MPC configurator, engineers can have a ‘try before you buy’ experience for their system design,” said Doug Nordstrom, market manager, analytical instrumentation, Swagelok Company. “Our tool lets you pick your component, platform layout, and even fluid type to produce a live flow model so you can see graphical representation of flow through a system.”
