September 30 Deadlines

The Career-Technical Education Middle Grades Waiver form is now available . Districts must complete middle grades career-technical education waivers each year following adoption of a resolution by the board of education not to offer career-technical education to students in grades seven and eight. The waiver is accessible through the superintendent’s or superintendent designee’s SAFE account . September 30 is also the deadline for compliance with Ohio Revised Code section 3313.821, which requires all school districts and educational service centers to create and submit their business advisory council plans to the Ohio Department of Education. However, districts do not need to upload separate plans if they have entered into agreements to receive services from an ESC and have agreed the ESC’s business advisory council will serve as the business advisory council of the district. The ESC submission is sufficient to meet this requirement. The Department is coordinating the submission of these plans annually through the FORMS system located within SAFE .
