BY SEA Arriving in the islands by sea is a spec- tacular experience, especially if you disembark in Mahón or Ciutadella in Menorca. There are regular ferries to the main ports in the islands from Barcelona, Valencia and Denia (Ali- cante). If you have your own boat, there are a number of marinas.

BY AIR There are numerous flights to Palma, Menorca and Ibiza. Many Spanish and international airlines have daily flights to the islands. There is no airport in For- mentera. It takes half an hour by ferry from Ibiza.
