Go with God: How to Keep Your SIAFU Chapter in Good Shape and Good Standing

In order to ensure that your Chapter continues to grow and prosper, you will need to make sure that you set some time apart for planning and review. The Holy Spirit will give you insight and direction as your Chapter continues to encourage, challenge, and serve urban disciples. A little forethought, prayer, brainstorming, and effort can go a long way in making sure that your Chapter continues to grow, both in number and influence. 1. Set aside time to set goals for the upcoming year. Make time as officers and leaders to get together and brainstorm goals for your Chapter. Clarify together your mission, what you believe God wants you to do in the next twelve months. a. Look at the critical needs, how they are being met, and what you can do to make a difference together. Set goals together on what you want to get done, in terms of the results you want. b. Select those priorities you believe God wants you to accomplish now, and share these with the Chapter members. Outline step- by-step strategies for each important goal, outline projects, and make plans to accomplish them. c. Trust God to lead you as the year unfolds, and always take time to pray and evaluate together what you see, and how God is working. The Holy Spirit will guide you as you move forward, pursuing those things that you believe God wants you to accomplish this upcoming year. 2. Meet regularly as a Chapter Council (Leadership Council) to keep track of Chapter business. The Officers (president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer) of the Chapter should meet regularly (once each
