Membership and SIAFU Leadership Council

Chapter Officers: Titles and Duties Part of the way to train leadership in your Chapter is to assign roles to different folk within your Chapter where they can lead, and then help them to know how to fulfill that role. A SIAFU Chapter operates with a Leadership Council consisting of four Officer roles: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. The Council also has two Support roles related to hosting Chapter meetings and running service projects: Host/Hostess and Service Project Coordinator, respectively. Members of a SIAFU Chapter must be professing Christians who affirm the commitment to the SIAFU Chapter, its doctrine and policies, and its leadership team. The Chapter leadership structure (four Officers and two Support Leaders) is shared by all the SIAFU Chapters throughout the entire national Network. It is not meant to hinder your vision, but to strengthen the possibility of allowing urban disciples to exercise leadership in their local church communities. Of course, on the start of your SIAFU Chapter, you may only have a handful of members, perhaps not even enough members of the Chapter to account for all the Officers and support leaders! Be flexible and open to the Lord; do what you can to start, but be open to filling out these positions as God brings more members into your Chapter. We are confident that, with God’s blessing and help, your Chapter will grow in number and strength, and this growth will more and more require good order, clear records, and open dialogue over all matters in the Chapter. Identifying, equipping, and releasing urban disciples for leadership is precisely what the SIAFU Network is about!
