(We are) powerful in battle, the soldiers of the Lord Trained to fight the enemy with the weapons of this war With a singleness of purpose, be courageous to the core Just hold your ground, and stand in one accord, Let’s be powerful in battle for the Lord. Enlist yourselves for battle, flee the petty dreams Refuse to be distracted by the devil’s evil schemes Surrender, give allegiance unto the risen King And all your best and brightest gifts unto the altar bring. And like a mighty army, we’ve gathered here to fight Committed to the Savior all, we’re standing for the right And yielded to the Captain, be armed with truth and light Come strap his heav’nly armor on, be strengthened with his might. Attention, mighty warriors, come, and stand your ground Arm yourselves for battle now, and hear the trumpet sound Stir yourselves like lions, and roar the battle cry Engage the foe in Jesus’ name, and put them all to flight!
