Not by Power, Nor by Might: Revival through the Power of the Holy Spirit Can Transform the Neighborhood

Then he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.

~ Zechariah 4.6

Sincerity, however, will not be enough. All of the good intentions and high and most sincere promises and vows to God will fall short without his divine intervention and visitation. The power of God, specifically, the power of the Holy Spirit, is the provision the Father has granted us in order that we might represent the Kingdom with honor and clarity. Without the Holy Spirit, all our efforts and activities will prove to be futile and useless against the tactics and deception of the enemy. If the apostles of Jesus had to remain in Jerusalem, waiting to declare the Gospel until the power of the Holy Spirit fell on them, how much more will urban Christians need to gather and wait on God to endue them with power from on high, before they can win their families, their neighborhoods, and cities for Christ!
