To the Ends of the Earth: We Must Mobilize Every Available Urban Christian to Join the Movement to Fulfill the Great Commission in Our Lifetime

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” ~ Matthew 28.18-20 Every boy, girl, woman, and man in the city deserves a chance to hear the Good News of God’s salvation offer in Jesus Christ. The Church is called to make disciples of Christ, baptizing them in the name of the triune God, and teaching each convert all that Christ has commanded us (Matt. 28.18-19). This Commission is given to the urban church as well. We must find efficient, credible, and effective ways to recruit urban Christians to the fight, to equip them for battle against the devil and his agents, and then, in Christ’s name and for his glory, to see them released to touch their friends, families, associates, and neighbors with the love of God. If the urban neighborhoods around the world are to be won, they must be won by urban disciples of Christ, men and women, boys and girls, who have been touched by the fire of God, who have been trained in the Word of God, and who, in unity and love, band together with others to do good works for the Lord where they live, and work, and play. SIAFU represents a practical, efficient way to gather urban Christians together, to inspire them with the message of Christ, to equip them for the work of the ministry, and then to challenge them to serve and share in their own networks for the sake of Christ.
