We Must Mobilize Every Available Urban Christian to Join the Movement to Fulfill the Great Commission in Our Lifetime

Part II Making the Case: Why You Need a SIAFU Chapter in Your Church

59 Setting Forth Our Case:

Answering the Objections to Mobilizing Urban Disciples for Revival in the Cities of America

62 Objection 1:

We already have a fine young adult and adult ministry, and therefore have no need for a SIAFU Chapter.

63 Objection 2:

The puny actions of a single, little urban church can’t possibly make a difference on the massive problems of our city.

64 Objection 3:

We are skeptical about the motives of SIAFU; shouldn’t we be more than a little suspicious of any outside influences on our church?

65 Objection 4: Chapters may come to actually interfere with our church’s direction and leadership. 67 Objection 5: We don’t have a way to integrate folk who are “different” into our church. 69 Objection 6: We don’t have anyone to give oversight to a SIAFU Chapter. 70 Objection 7:

We already have a network of other churches we relate to, and enjoy great fellowship and collaboration together.

72 Objection 8:

SIAFU was started by an outside group, whose members and culture are definitely not from the hood!

75 Objection 9: SIAFU is no panacea for the city; on its own, without God’s direct blessing and visitation, the SIAFU Network will never accomplish its high goals. 77 Objection 10: We want to start a SIAFU Chapter, but we don’t know how.
