ENGAGE IN YOUR COMMUNITY Invest | Connect | Partner
Shakopee Parks and Recreation partnerships add value to the community. Sponsorship & In-Kind Donations
LEVELS OF SPONSORSHIP Inclusion of your logo on promotions in the Parks and Recreation guide/banners is dependent on the timeliness of sponsorship and logo submission. Each Sponsorship option below indicates the various promotional benefits your business will receive based on the level you choose. Our event packages are grouped to provide Sponsors equal exposure and promotional opportunities at each respective level. We invite you to become a Sponsor today and join the dozens of local organizations and businesses that partner with us each year! Shakopee Parks and Recreation brings people together to foster community identity and pride with fun, exciting activities. These program offerings would not all be possible without your support and partnership. Establishing a partnership between the City and your enterprise provides a tremendous opportunity to boost your brand and highlight that you value community involvement. We have several levels of Sponsorship packages available in which the City will promote and market your business to more than 44,000 community members. As a Sponsor, you will benefit from increased brand exposure through City promotional materials, banners, and, at times, even media coverage.
IN-KIND DONATIONS Many of our programs and events provide door prizes for participation. We welcome gift baskets, gift cards, or business merchandise with your logo that add value to all programs and events. FRIEND OF EVENT We have specific events in which organizations and businesses are welcome to attend for free as a vendor. Requirements include: bring your own table, chairs, door prize and/ or candy, depending on the event. “We enthusiastically partner with Shakopee Parks and Recreation given its history, passion, professionalism, and vision for all Shakopee residents. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Events and Programs
Adopt-A-Park We are seeking groups interested in cleaning up a park, open space, trail, or pond. We accept groups willing to either adopt a park long-term or participate in a one-time event. Adopt-A-Park is open to community groups, businesses, churches, and individuals who are interested in volunteering with the care and enhancement of public parks and open spaces. In recognition of this service, groups will be named as adoptees on a personalized sign placed in the adopted park.
Edible Garden The Edible Garden consists of perennial and annual plants that are edible and available for anyone in the community to harvest and eat. The Edible Garden program is open to community groups, businesses, churches, and individual residents who are interested in gardening. We invite volunteers to maintain the garden by planting, weeding, and coordinating watering schedules.
