Chebeague Island Council

As life on the island quiets down, the Council is busy offering popular programs to the community. We held a well-attended COVID and flu vaccine clinic in October, administering shots to over 120 islanders. The Wellness Center continues to host Dr. Larson on the first and third Fridays of the month, as well as Dr. St. John of Mend Health and Wellness to provide chiropractic services. The podiatrist, Dr. Rybka will be here November 2. Please consult the calendar and call the practitioners to schedule an appointment. We are also working to have a nursing presence back on the island. You may have noticed that the mountain of Clynk bags is gone from the Chedemption shed. Annie Thaxter and the Bagettes have worked hard to ship the bags off the island and out of our waste stream. Wednesday SOUP is starting up on November 16 and 30. If we have enough volunteers to cook and

serve, we can serve soup weekly throughout the winter. Please let us know if you can join us.
