1 BELL DEMONSTRATION Mounted on a large panel, all parts easily visible, rigid constructions to show the connections on a vertical stand. Operates on 4-6 volts DC. Height 122mm. Cat No. Description Price Per ELM-050-100 Bell Demonstration 27.01 ea. 2 RELAY DEMONSTRATION The Relay Demonstration Unit allows the investigation and study of how a relay functions, in a clear and practical manner. A useful property of this unit is that the circuit powering the coil is easily seen to be completely separate from the circuit switched on by the relay. This is one of the reasons relays are used where a safe low voltage circuit can be used to control a high voltage circuit. Coil Input 4-6V DC Bulb Input Max. 6V AC / DC. Cat No. Description Price ELM-300-100 Relay Demonstration 33.98 ea. 3 LASCELLS ELECTROMAGNETIC SYSTEM A self-contained unit allowing students to study the effect of current and number of coils on the strength of an electromagnet. • Tappings at 100, 200, 300, 400, 500 and 600 turns

4 HELMHOLTZ COILS WITH SUPPORT A pair of preformed coils, each with 400 turns of copper wire, wound onto a former of approx. 150 mm diameter. Each coil is mounted on a support rod, which fits onto the sliders of the track system supplied. This enables the distance between the coils to be varied whilst maintaining alignment along a common axis, for measurements and study of magnetic fields. Electrical connection is via 4 mm sockets. Please note: the current should not exceed 1A, to prevent overheating or damage. Cat No. Description Price Per ELM-275-100 Helmholtz Coils With Support 83.75 2

6 LASCELLS FORCE ON A CONDUCTOR APPARATUS This is a traditional piece of equipment for demonstrating the effect of a current flowing in a conductor in the presence of a magnetic field (Lorentz or Laplace force). Connection is made via the 4mm sockets attached to the side rails. When a current of up to 8A flows the crossbar rolls one way or the other under the action of the electro-magnetic force. With clearly labelled poles to the magnet. A low voltage bench power supply is required. Cat No. Description Price Per ELM-565-100 Force on a Conductor Apparatus 60.97 ea.
