News from the Essex-Middle River Chapter By Frank Holden

The chapter supports many local initiatives throughout our community. We support the efforts of the Back River Restoration Committee annual Fishing Tournament. The entry into the annual Christmas party is a donation of food items for the needy in our area. We generally average over 500 pounds of items to local food pantries. We hold a chapter meeting every month and always feature a guest speaker on a variety of subjects of interest to members. Once or twice a year when a charter captain speaks we give away a trip to the members in attendance that night. It’s given us the opportunity to fish with some new members, have a lot of fun, and give some business to our guest speakers. If this sounds like a fun-filled and active chapter to you, you're right. Make sure you either join or renew your MSSA membership today to be part of one of the MSSA’s oldest, largest, and most active chapters. We publish an e-mail newsletter every month. We meet on the third Tuesday of every month at the Commodore Hall, 1909 Old Eastern Ave. in Essex.
