716 1949 (17 May) An air mail cover from Taiwan registered to Swatow, bearing surcharged $300 on $3 and on $600 on $100 in pair, tied by char. ‘KAOHSIUNG’ cds, hand stamped ‘Military Ost’ in violet circular chop, ‘SWATOW/19.5.49’ machine arrived, with 3 pages contents, rough opening causing damage at the top, still a nice Silver Yuan period cover used in Taiwan.
