For expenditure: According to the Austrian tax law, the World Federation of Hemophilia is an „international non-profit organization“. Basically, the convention centers must collect 20% sales tax for costs incurred (eg room hire) and pay it to the tax office. However, there is the possibility for the World Federation of Hemophilia to apply for a tax refund September 30th of the following year. To achieve this, the „entrepreneurial activity“ of the Congress of World Federation of Hemo- philia has to be disclosed. It is recommended to consult a local tax expert. i.e. Deloitte Austria, MMag.
