Tubes & Profiles is a part of SSAB Shape, which is an effort made by SSAB to offer more processed and customer-tailored products. The aim is to be able to offer technical and practical support to customers when they upgrade to more high strength steel for their products. Hardox is recognised for its wear resistance and strength, and is often used in structures exposed to extreme wear such as excavators, heavy machinery, crushers and trucks. Domex is used in constructions all over the world, and with the company’s new range of tubes, SSAB wants to broaden the possibilities open to designers to find lighter, stronger and more environmental solutions. The steel’s strong and light characteristics contribute to vehicles and equipment that can manage a higher payload with lower fuel consumption, and which at the same time have a longer lifespan.
Along with the possibility for placing special orders, large parts of the range are ready for fast delivery directly from the company’s finished stocks.
