School Bus Replacement/Retrofit Grants

US EPA has announced another round of rebate grants for replacement school buses. Application deadline is November 14, 2017. Please see www.epa.gov/cleandiesel/clean- diesel-rebates for more information.

121 School Issues on November 7 Ballot

A complete but unofficial BASA analysis shows that 121 school issues will be on the General Election ballot on November 7. However, only 16 of these issues are for additional money. The breakdown is as follows: 5 Current Expense 6 Emergency 1 Traditional Income Tax 4 Earned Income Tax Interestingly, voters in six districts will see substitute levies on their ballots. This would be the most substitute tax issues since their inception in 2008.
