Conclusion Although the volume of information

generated by the U.S. healthcare system has grown rapidly, many still struggle to utilize the information to increase efficiency or quality of care. Despite the difficulties in sharing data among healthcare organizations, CMS continues to increase the transparency through the publication of health data. There is an opportunity to combine the disparate sources into cohesive data that can be used to gain actionable insight and relevant benchmark metrics.
