WHAT IS VODKA?

In Russia, it’s first uses were for medical purposes as vodka is an excellent disinfectant, and medical staff often gave large quantities of vodka to the wounded soldiers as an anesthetic.

In the 15th century a type of vodka was used for making gunpowder in Sweden.

Vodka has a lot of uses- it can be used as a disinfectant and can prevent rusting. It also can be used to clean glasses and bathrooms because the alcohol tends to kill mould and mildew!

Historically, vodka became popular in Russia because it did not freeze in winters!
