contributors are Transwestern Pipeline, El Paso Natural gas, Salt River Project. 20% of the district’s annual revenues come from Fire District Assistance Tax (FDAT). The district’s annual operation budget ranges roughly around $750,000 but fluctuate year after year. For more information, see A.R.S. 48-807. In 2012, Apache County took a massive impact through the Lehman Brothers litigation and all the special district of Apache County were drastically impacted by this lawsuit. In 2014, The Ganado Fire District took the largest impact, $208,000, of the Lehman Brothers litigation and is currently recovering from the lawsuit. The district is headed in a positive direction and is projecting to fully recover by fiscal year 2022.

The Ganado Fire District utilizes the 2015 American Safety & Health Institute curriculum to provide a two year certification for Basic First Aid & CPR AED for Adults/Children/Infants. The Ganado Fire District utilizes the current National Fire Prevention Standards to implements a curriculum that fulfills the mandated training requirements for OSHA. The certification is valid for two years for Fire Safety & Extinguisher training.
