Berkshire Show essential information

What to bring:

n Sun hats and sun lotion as well as waterproofs and umbrellas – the British weather is very unpre- dictable. n Wear sensible footwear, you’ve got 150 acres to get around. There are surfaced roads as well as grassy areas. n Re-usable bags for your purchases. n Poo bags, a non-retractable lead and water if you’re bringing your dog. We will have poo bins and water stations across the showground. n Picnic essentials, although there will be plenty of ‘street food’ offerings around the showground – from fish and chips to baguettes to baked potatoes. n There will be baby changing and feeding facilities at highlighted areas on the map, including highchairs, bottle warmers and a comfortable place to sit while feeding. n Buy a show guide on the day, packed with maps, schedules,

n Or they can be purchased on the gate. The Royal County of Berkshire Show is one of a series of events staged by Newbury & District Agricultural Society. The society is a not-for-profit organisation and registered charity, with the main purpose being to educate the general public in the need to preserve the countryside and wildlife and to promote and support the British agricultural, horticultural, forestry and rural crafts industries.

Please do not use satnav to find your way to the showground. Satnav takes no account of the traffic management plan in place and you may be directed to the wrong location. Please follow the AA signs as you approach the showground. A regular bus service will operate from Thatcham and Newbury to the showground. There are trains from Oxford, Southampton and Bristol running to Reading, with a change to Newbury. Disabled parking spaces are

By car from the A34 from the north and south, the M4 east and west, exiting at Junction 13, or by the B4009 locally. There is an extended slip road up towards Chieveley just before joining the A34 heading to Oxford.
