What is Volt Typhoon? • Volt Typhoon is an Advanced Persistent Threat (AVP) group that is also know as Bronze Silhouette, Vanguard Panda, UNC3236, and Red Fly. • Deployed as early as 2021 by the Chinese Government. As recently as September ‘25- SALT TYPHOON, the most ambitious attack targeting over 80 countries, including the US, was launched. It is estimated that every American has been compromised. • The primary focus is cyberespionage and power grids. • The threat is designed to go long periods of time without being detect while disrupting communication infrastructure.
