760 1949 (5 Sept.) A stampless Silver Yuan cover to locally, with char. ‘CHIKIANG’ cds on reverse, on front tied by ‘SHANGHAI/5.9.49’ slogan roller arrival cancel. Shanghai was liberated on 37th May 1949, vary late usage. Photo HK$ 500 - 700 761 1949 (6 Aug.) A Silver Yuan cover from Lanchow to USA, on reverse bearing SYS Hwa Nan print, 1c, 4c and 10c strip of 5, tied by bilingual ‘LANCHOW’ cds, the 55c was the international airmail postage rate. Silver Yuan international mail matter from North West China are rare, particularly this cover which was posted about one week before Lanchow’s liberation. Photo HK$ 6,000 - 7,000

762 1949 (7 Nov.) A Silver Yuan cover to Hong Kong, bearing Kwang Tung overprinted on Revenue stamp Domestic Ordinary on $200, tied by very neat char. ‘KWANGTUNG/ SANWUI’ cds, Kwang Tung was liberated on the 14th Oct.1949, a rare cover of the Silver Yuan stamp continued usage after liberation. Photo HK$ 1,200 - 1,500 763 1949 (9 June) A cover to Peiping, bearing overprinted ‘Domestic Mail/Postage Paid’ in black char. On SYS 40,000, tied by bilingual ‘NANCHANG’ cds, on reverse with bilingual ‘PEIPING/3.7.49’ arrival cds. Nanchang was liberated on 22nd May 1949, Kiangsi unit stamp on cover is rare, moreover, this is also an example of the adoption of Silver Yuan postage in the liberated area.
