Camps are run by Shakopee High School Varsity Coach Matt Busch, assistant coaches and high school volleyball players. All participants will receive a camp T-shirt. All grades listed are according to the 2019-20 school year. Register for camps at www.shakopeevolleyballassociation.com. Registrations will not be accepted at the Shakopee Community Center. GIRLS VARSITY

SABER CUBS CAMP (BOYS & GIRLS) Our Young Sabers camp is for kids who would like to have fun learning about the wonderful sport of volleyball. Creative drills demonstrating basic skills and fun competitions will be the focus of this three-day camp. Parents are welcome to drop off or stay and enjoy the fun. Ball shaggers are always needed. Day Dates Time Grade Cost Mon-Wed July 15-17 12:30-1:45 p.m. K-2 $60 BEGINNERS ALL-SKILLS (BOYS & GIRLS) This camp is for the beginner volleyball player who would like to learn more about the sport to see if it is for you. The Basic Camp will review all skills and fundamentals of the game as well as introduce team competitions. No previous volleyball experience is necessary for this camp. Day Dates Time Grade Cost Mon-Thurs July 8-11 1:15-3 p.m. 5-6 $80 INTERMEDIATE ALL SKILLS (BOYS & GIRLS) The Intermediate Camp will review all skills and fundamentals of the game but will get more in depth in positional skills and full team competition. BOYS VARSITY The focus of this first-ever boys high school camp will be on skill training, positional training, offensive and defensive team situations and gamelike competition. Day Dates Time Grade Cost Mon-Wed July 15-17 2-4 p.m. 9-12 $80 SUMMER-LONG SKILLS CAMP (BOYS & GIRLS) Volleyball players can get training in one or all of the following specific skill areas: setting, defense/ball control and hitting/blocking. The staff of the Shakopee High School volleyball program will be offering a five- week comprehensive training program devoted to the fundamentals and advancement of each skill. One day per week will be designated for each skill. Players can choose to pay $100 to attend one skill night or $200 to attend all three skill nights each of the five weeks. • Level 1: Boys & girls entering sixth-eighth grade • Level 2: Boys & girls entering ninth-12th grade Each of three high school coaches will specialize with one skill.
