26.84 A motion was made by Brenda Parker, Fox Hill, to accept and pay the bills as read. The motion was seconded by Jean Pickin, Buckroe. Motion carried. At this time, the Conductress Pro-Tem and Assistant Conductress collected the Penny Drill for the Firefighter’s Relief Fund. The following Committee reports were given: Legislative Committee – Lisa Saul, Riner Resolutions Committee – Karen Sica, Individual Member Examining Committee – Linda Cage, South Hill Firefighter’s Relief Committee – Sylvia Baker, Individual Member By-Laws Committee – Carolyn Landis, Hose Co. #4 Ways & Means Committee – Sandra Shifflett, Hose Co. #4 Zone Meeting Committee – Carol Stickley, Hose Co. #4 Scholarship Committee – Carol Stickley, Hose Co. #4 Website – Joan Dempsey, Vienna Executive Committee – Tina Puffenbarger, Hose Co. #4 A motion to accept the Executive Committee report was made by Amy Sheppard, Christiansburg and seconded by Sylvia Baker, Individual Member. Motion carried. Chaplain, Linda Cage was called on and gave her Chaplain report since the Spring Zone Meeting, Due to family illness, Historian, Amanda Smith was not present for a report. Carolyn Landies announced that the Past Presidents will meet on Friday morning at 8:00 AM and have breakfast with the men’s past presidents. A brief break was taken at this time. One delegate from each Auxiliary and the Nominating Committee were asked to stay for the nomination of officers for 2018-2019. Everyone was reminded to purchase any needed raffle tickets and sign the credentials book during this time. Once the meeting resumed President Garnett asked for Old Business at this time. At the Spring Zone it was brought up about the possibility of changing the amount of the Love Gift from $100. It was decided that the Executive Committee would discuss the matter. The Executive Committee decided that the amount should be left as is. There was no other old business. President Garnett called for new business at this time. President Garnett asked that all stay after the meeting for a group photo. The Secretary read a letter from Vienna Auxiliary asking to host the 2020 Spring Zone Meeting. A motion to accept the invitation was made by Tina Puffenbarger, Hose Co. #4 and seconded by Karen Sica, Individual Member. Motion was carried on a vote.
