( Toreros Host Wagner College in Season Final!

GAME #IO: The Toreros (5-4) play their final game ofthe 1993 season tonight against visiting Wagner College (8-1) from Staten Island, NY. Kickoffis scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Torero Stadium. This is the f1rst meeting between the two schools. ALOOKBACK: The Toreros dropped another tough PFL contest, this time a 14-17 loss to Drake University ... the Toreros got on the scoreboard first when junior QB Vince Moiso hit HB Michael Henry for a 15-yard TD with 5:59 to go in the first quarter ... Drake answered backwith a 12-play, 71-yard drive that ended with a I-yard dive by RB Mike Stanfel with 0:56 seconds to go in the first quarter ... Drake took a 14-7 lead into halftime after another I-yard TD rush by Stanfel with 3:07 to go in the second quarter ... USO knotted up the score at 14-all whenMoiso hit freshman HB Evan Hlavacek for an 80-yard TD strike with l 0:03 to go in the game ... the Drake Bulldogs iced the game when kicker Bill Willers connected on a 20-yard field goal with :51 seconds to go that culminated a 16-play, 71 yard drive that spanned six minutes and 27 seconds ... USO had their chances - they missed a 24-yard field goal just before halftime; faced a 4th and goal from Drake's 3-yard line early in the fourth quarter that resulted with a Vince Moiso fumble offthe option play; and.the Toreros missed a43-yard FG attempt with just over seven minutes to go in the game ...
