A Punjabi romantic comedy, Dil Garden Garden Ho Gaya , set in Kuala Lumpur, will be aired tomorrow, telling a heartfelt story of love, family bonds and cultural traditions within the Punjabi community. Blending humour, romance and tradition, the two-hour film reflects everyday life within the Punjabi community while exploring a universal theme familiar to many young adults today, balancing family expectations with personal happiness.

Recognised as the “Queen of EDM” who has shaped an era of Mandarin pop music, Hsieh has created countless chart-topping anthems and cultural phenomena. This concert marks a significant milestone in her career and a long-awaited dream come true for Malaysian fans who have followed her music for decades. Often hailed as the “Ageless Queen”, Hsieh continues to redefine age and artistry, staying at the forefront of trends with fearless creativity and unmatched stage presence. She will take the Arena of Stars stage with explosive energy, commanding performance power and her signature charisma, promising an unforgettable night for fans. In the history of Mandopop, Hsieh’s name is almost synonymous with the EDM era. With iconic hits such as Jie Jie (Sister) , Lian Wu Gong (Dancing Queen) , Bi Bi Bi , Yao Fa Da (Want to Prosper) and Tiao Qi Lai (Jump) , she has dominated charts, dance floors, KTV playlists and party scenes across Taiwan and Malaysia. Parveen described the filming process as exciting and challenging, especially during emotional scenes. “Every time the director called action, it felt like stepping into another world. The intense scenes pushed me creatively and became the most memorable,” she said. The film also features an ensemble cast including Kulbeer Singh, Kash Bhullar, S. Baldev Singh, Anita Dhillon, Sangeet Gill, Malkit Kaur, Daljit Singh Pannu, Prity Dhillon, Jasmine Kaur, Anmol Kaur, Navinder Kaur and Anwaar Beg Moghal. It is directed and written by S. Baldev Singh Uppal and produced by Sri Saheb Production Sdn Bhd. The film will be aired by Radio Televisyen Malaysia’s TV2 channel from 9pm to 11pm.

Making her screen debut, Parveen Sidhu, who plays Gurleen, said she felt an instant connection to the script and her character. “Sometimes you just know. The timing felt right, the story felt right and the character felt right. It felt very natural for me,” she told Bernama. She said authenticity was a key priority throughout filming to ensure Punjabi traditions and family dynamics were portrayed realistically. “Our culture carries so much warmth and emotion. From the way families talk to each other to the small daily habits, everything was kept natural and respectful,” said Parveen, who is also a dentist, commercial talent and host. The story follows Rajdev, the only son of the wealthy and respected Grewal family, whose parents set out to find what they believe is the perfect bride for him.
