Awards.

52 Our gardens one first prize in the regional competition again and the nursery received a Good Ofsted report.

History.

53

Our unique history day schools are not yet populated.

54

We need further discussion on the Project 120 at the meeting.

55 Our next hbistorian of the GFTU Edda Nocolson has commenced her PhD which we have agreed to part fund for the next 3 years. 56 I have taken the opportunity to invite a dynamic project looking at unionisation in the entertainment industry to our meeting. 57 A very successful meeting with the DurhamMiners Association was held at Quorn and further discussion about the potential of oral history work with them needs to be considered. 58 Michael Sanders is able to report that the application which we have supported to the AHRC has passed the first reviewers’ phase with flying colours scoring 22 out a possible 24 points. 59 Our successfully supported bid for £900k at Wolverhampton University to consider coal fields’ histories is now developing and I understand 3 Post docs are in post and perhaps along with Prof Keith Gildart should attend a future Trustees’ meeting.

63 Discussions are potentially opening for partnerships with Winchester and Hull Universities.
