Infrastructure planning strengthens industry

Infrastructure projects that are expected to last more than a decade are an in uencing factor of the strength of the wire and cable market on the Indian subcontinent. It is tting then that the Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre will stage wire India from 27 th to 30 th November, with more than 400 exhibitors from over 25 countries taking part. More than 12,000 visitors are expected to converge on the centre for the three-day exhibition, which runs alongside Tube India and Metallurgy India. A strong demand in the Indian automotive industry, construction sector and the energy sector will also ensure order books lling for suppliers of wire and cable. Heavy investment in canals, bridges, roads, rail and civil engineering ensures a bright future for the industry in the region.
