STAKEHOLDER PANEL ON INFANT FORMULA AND  ADULT NUTRITIONALS (SPIFAN)

Eric Poitevin, Nestlé Minerals Working Group Chair 

Dr. Eric Poitevin is a Lead Scientist in Nestlé Research Center in Switzerland.   His main responsibilities are currently in the Mineral Laboratory of Analytical  Sciences Department where he leverages his expertise in food mineral  analysis and methods development. His experience with Nestlé has afforded   Dr. Poitevin for more than 20 years significant knowledge of technology  including ICP‐OES, ICP‐MS, LC (GC)‐MS‐MS in water and food sectors.   He is  engaged in the National Swiss accreditation organization and in European CEN Working Group of  Elements and their chemical species.  He has been an AOAC member since 2008 and has been assigned since 2010 as Study Director for AOAC  Official Method 2011.14 Calcium, Copper, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, Potassium, Phosphorus,  Sodium, and Zinc in Fortified Food Products Microwave Digestion and Inductively Coupled Plasma‐ Optical Emission Spectrometry First Action 2011.  

Besides activities in Working Groups of Iodine and Ultra Trace Elements of SPIFAN, he is also involved in  Heavy Metals Working Group of SPSFAM.
