New playground gets rave reviews from residents Spotlight: Stans Park
Tucked under the 10th Avenue water tower, Stans Park has become a popular destination for families looking for new, fun equipment for their kids to climb, swing and play on. Last summer, the city replaced the aging equipment with some one-of-a-kind play features in Shakopee. The bright new playground has a variety of features for kids of all ages, including a criss-cross loop ladder and rumble-and-roll zip slide. Stans Park, named after Shakopee’s Watergate-era politician Maurice Stans, is also known for its tennis courts complex. With its four courts and four adjacent courts at Shakopee West Junior High, Stans is home to Shakopee Public Schools tennis teams and also the Shakopee Tennis Association.
Stans Park is located at 1056 Fuller St.
