ERECTION SEQUENCE

TRI-BEAD TAPE MASTIC TEMPORARY FASTENER (REMOVE PRIOR TO PANELING OVER) DOUBLE FACED TAPE (BY INSULATION SUPPLIER)

TRIM CAP

EAVE STRUT

LOW SIDE EAVE For applications in which the wall panels have already been erected, trim must be pulled tight to wall panels before fastening to eave strut. For applications in which the wall panels have not been erected, maintain a gap, wall panel thickness + 1/8", from edge of trim cap to the face of the eave strut. Use temporary fasteners, 1/4"-14 x 1", to hold trim in place until they can be replaced with the permanent roof fasteners. Remove before laying roof panel.

TRIM CAP

Lay Tri-Bead tape mastic on top of the trim cap. Install double-faced tape along the length of the top leg of the trim cap. Double faced tape must be up slope from Tri-Bead tape mastic.

WALL PANEL INSTALLED AFTER ROOF

Remove 2" of hem from the overlapping trim cap as shown. Lap Trim Cap 2". Apply a 1/4” bead of Sikalastomer-511 sealant between the trim pieces, approximately 1-1/2” from the end of the bottom piece. Apply a second 1/4" bead of Sikalastomer-511 out to the outside of the first bead. When trims are compressed, the second bead should squish out so when the Tri-Bead tape mastic is applied, the sealant and tape mastic marry together.
