ERECTION SEQUENCE

STEP 14

"PIG-TAIL" TRI-BEAD TAPE MASTIC BETWEEN CLOSURES

TRI-BEAD TAPE MASTIC

SIKA 201 SEALANT AS REQUIRED

RIDGE-OUTSIDE CLOSURE

Apply Tri-Bead tape mastic to the top of the outside closure. Insure this run of tape mastic marries into the "Pig-Tail" sticking out from between the outside closures.

1/4"-14 X 1 1/4" WT

"PIG-TAIL" TRI-BEAD TAPE MASTIC BETWEEN CLOSURES

1/4"-14 X 1 1/4" WT

Install 1/4"-14 x 1-1/4" WT fasteners in the remaining hole at the panel seam of all outside closures. The fastener must go through the panel seam and the corresponding hole of the adjacent outside closure.

SIKA 201 AROUND BENDS IN CLOSURE HIGH RIB. APPLY ONLY ON INSIDE OF CLOSURE AREA

Use Sikaflex 201 urethane sealant to fill any voids around panel seam on up slope side of outside closure.

FIELD CUT AND BEND

(2)1/4"-14 X 1 1/4" WT

UPTURNED PANEL LEG FIELD FORMED TAB

If the last panel run was field modified, the final outside closure on the last panel will require field modifications as well. A tab should be formed on the end of the outside closure for attachment to the upturned leg of the roof panel (field formed). This tab should be attached to the panel with 1/4"-14 x 1-1/4" WT fasteners (2 required).
