Tool range at the cutting edge

For many years Petig has been among the leaders in the field of hydraulic cable cutters. Long before the Hydrocut hydraulic steel cutter made its appearance in the wire rolling mills of the world, the first cable and wire rope cutters were available to Petig customers. Hydraulic cable cutters are made in six sizes, with differing capacities. The smallest shear cuts cable up to a maximum diameter of 16mm while the largest shear can cope with a maximum of 225mm. All the larger cable cutters are available with single-action and double-action hydraulic cylinders. The double-action cylinder has the advantage that if, following a long period of use, a strand or integral part of the sheathing should jam between the blades as a result of wear on the blades, the latter can be opened using hydraulic power. Hydraulic cutters are usually driven by compact hydraulic units, with a flow rate of between 1.75 l/min and 11.6 l/ min. According to the type of cutter, Fullstage to distribute Taihei wire benders Fullstage Technologies, a distributor of premium CNC tube bending machines from Japan and Taiwan, is now offering CNC wire benders with up to 11 axes. Fullstage is to distribute equipment manufactured by a market leader in the Japanese wire bending industry – Taihei Osaka. Taihei is renowned for the deve- lopment and production of high quality machines used in a variety of applications. Sectors served by Taihei’s machines include the automotive, semiconductor and construction industries. Fullstage Technologies will assume sales and service responsibilities for Taihei’s equipment in Europe (including the former CIS), Turkey, the Middle East and Africa.
