TOTAL GUARANTEE COMMITMENTS RECEIVED 154,253 The guarantees given by CEGC in connection with its activity are treated as insurance policies for accounting purposes, in accordance with IFRS 4 “Insurance contracts.” They are recorded on the * liabilities side of the balance sheet and are not included in guarantees given to customers shown in the table above.

Guarantee commitments are off-balance sheet commitments. “Securities pledged as collateral” are included in Note 5.19 “Transferred financial assets not fully derecognized and other financial assets pledged as collateral”.

“Securities received as collateral” that can be sold or repledged are included in Note 5.19.1.3 “Financial assets received as collateral that can be sold or repledged”.
