Riverside Reporter - October 2018

From t he Managers Desk

Hello Village People What a busy month the village has had. Lots of social activities and only 12 weeks until Christmas. (Scary) The verge pick up this year was very light on. What does this mean !!! Thank you to the Men’s Shed for offering your services with all donations going straight to the Men’s Shed funds. September saw the completion of the Bowling green overhead lighting and the planning of a party to celebrate the official opening of twilight bowling for the village. There was also the installation completed on the new Medical Alarms at the Pool, Recreation Hall and Men’s Shed and installation of 2 Defibrillators, one at the Recreation Hall and the other at the Men’s Shed. Training on the defibrillators was given over 4 separate session times, and available to all residents who wished to know how these worked. Residents were quite surprised to find how advanced the technology was now and how easy they were to operate. Any resident who was unable to attend one of the training session, but would still like the training, please contact the office and put your name down so we can arrange this for you. We are holding several FREE information presentations at the Hall on topics such as health, wellbeing, leisure, etc., so look out for what’s coming up and come along

to check them out. You may be pleasantly surprised at what you can learn and what’s on offer for Seniors. Till next month….. From the Manager
