Faculty Concert Slated For USO

Concert at USO This Sunday instrumental concert will be performed by University of San Diego faculty at 3 p.m. this Sunday, July 19, '- in the USD Theatre in Camino '"' Hall. include s. Faculty membcr5 from the University of San Diego will perform a vocal and in- stru ental concert at ;J p.m. next Sunday in the College for Women Theater on campus. The program will include a cello sonata, compositions by

Handel. Schubert's "Shepherd- on the Rock~" and Ravel's ' Madagascar Songs." Among the performers will be soprano Christine Voight, flutist Janice Strait, cellist Marjorie Hart and pianist Ilana Mysior.

USD pool open SAN DIEGO - The Uni- versity of San Diego swim- ming pool is now cpen to the public tor the summer at a charge of 40 cents for those 16 and under and 60 cents for those over 16. The pool is open seven days a week. Hours are noon to 5:30 p.m. every day but Saturday, when the hours will be from 10 a.m. tc 5:30 p.m. ~l'iPEF'ENOi:tJ r 7 ,'J..· 7 0 St·t· H~ld For Assault On Officer A 21.year-old student charged with assaulting a police officer among other charges has been bounil over to Superior Court. Municipal Court Judge Robert J. Stahl Jr., who presided over a preliminary hearing for William McKinley Nason, also ordered, Nason remanded to custody pending postin gof $1,500 bail. Nason had been free on $100 bond but Deputy Dist. Alty. Ed- ward J. Mantyla introduced evi- dence that Nason had become involved in another incident last weekend in which he again re- fused to identify himself to po- .lice officers. Nason first became involved with Patrolman Gary Reichle June 10 when he refused to iden- tify himself. Reichle was in- vestigating reports of burglaries in the 2000 block of Front Street. A struggle occurred between Reichle and Nason and Nason had to be subdued by Hall , a University of San Die~o student, until more police he p arrived. Reichle was thB only witness called to testify against Nason al the preliminary hearing.
