DATE SET - Mr. and Mrs. Frank T. Masterson of Pasadena announce the engagement of their daughter, Rosemary Eileen, to Walter Owen Lauer Johnston, Jr ., son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Owen Lauer Johnston, Sr., of San Diego. Miss Masterson is a graduate of St. Andrew High School in Pasadena, and is now a senior at the University of San Diego College tor Women. She is editor of Vista, college news- paper, and president of the Delta Gamma honor society. Mr. John- ston was graduated from University High School and the USO Col- lege for Men. The couple pl~ns a January 1 a wedding.

TO BE WED - Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence W. Schultheis of Chula Vista nnounce the engagement of their daughter, Sara Ell n, to Lt . Robert Grant Peterson, USAF, son of Mrs. Wilham Allen of Dayton, Ohio. Miss Schultheis is a 11raduate of Hilltop High School and is attendm& the Univenoty of San 01e110 College for Women. Lt. Peter• son was araduated from W1ttenber11 University and received his master's dearee from Bowling Green State University, both on Ohio. He 1s stationed with the Air Force at Pearl Harbor.
