On Camp I was a bit worried about the flying fox. It was twelve metres high and the hardest thing was climbing into it. It looked very scary from underneath it. When you got to the platform, it was very scary but when you go down it, it wasn’t very scary at all. Archery was super fun because I hit a bullseye and Sophia and Anson hit a bullseye as well. Low ropes is funny because you hold onto people’s heads and it was pretty hard. We did a stream walk and made rock paint. We also did a wa- terfall walk but it was a lot harder than Heartbreak Hill. To get to the waterfall we had to walk three Heartbreak Hills but when we got to the waterfall, we jumped in the waterfall water.

I discovered on Camp we were in a volcano and it erupted five thousand years ago. One of my chal- lenges was going down steep hills. We went on a flying fox and we didn’t sit in anything. We were in a harness and we could put our hands out and fly like a bird. We got to go on the waterfall walk and it was about two hours and fifteen minutes. We swam in the waterfall with our clothes and shoes on. We did animal feeding. I fed a goat and an alpaca. At first I was scared but I got used to it. We got to have brownies when we got there. They were delicious. We did camping skills and cooked a damper and had maple syrup with it. It was yummy. Tristan D found snakes. We told the instructor and she said to stay away from them. My favourite instructor was Matthew. He was the flying fox person. He said I was really brave and when I had the harness on, he was swinging me with the handle. Can’t wait for Year 4 Camp!
