Limitations of TG43 formalism

▪ with a fixed volume (sphere with 30 cm in diameter)

▪ This means that the TG43 formalism does NOT account for

▪ different density of in the irradiated tissue

▪ the lack of scatter material if the implant is located close to the skin surface
