 Margins add to considerable irradiation of normal tissue

 PTV margin for elective target volume:

 7-10mm margin without daily image guidance

 5mm margin with daily image guidance and bony fusion  Potential in pelvic elective radiotherapy to reduce irradiated volume by 40% with IMRT and daily IGRT (2500cc → 1500cc)
