Meal and Rest Breaks for Non-Exempt Employees  Meals breaks - at least 30 minutes after 5 hours worked and another 30 minutes after 10 hours worked.  Rest breaks – 10 minutes every 4 hours.

Wages Payable Upon Termination 

Discharge – All wages due at time of discharge.

 Employee Quits – All wages due on the last day of work if 72 hours’ notice is given. If not given, then wages are due within 72 hours’ of the last day of work.  Vacation – All earned and accrued and unused vacation must be paid at the employee’s final rate of pay. Recordkeeping  Provide Notice of Employee pursuant to Labor Code section 2810.5.  Pay stub must set forth information pursuant to Labor Code section 226.  Payroll records must show hours worked, meal periods, split shift intervals, total wages paid each pay period, and applicable rates of pay.
