Wyoming in the fall. Morgan is active in Kings Harvest 4-H and Central Valley Christian FFA,

where she was the 2018-19 San Joaquin Region FFA Vice President and held multiple officer

positions with her 4-H club. She also has shown replacement heifers at the Kings County Fair

and has served as a member of the Kings Junior Fair Board for the past four years.

Morgan will assist the new District 7 Dairy Princess in her duties, which include speaking on

behalf of the California dairy industry at schools, service clubs, with the media, and at numerous

public events throughout the year.

In addition, the Dairy Princess and her Alternate will attend a training session focused on

presentation development, advocating for the California dairy industry, leadership and etiquette.

Along with the excitement of naming the new Dairy Princess, the Kings County Dairywomen

presented three $1,000 scholarships to Michael Almeida and Kent Sheldon from Hanford High

School and Reid Jacobs from Lemoore High School. Also, the Kings County June Dairy Month

committee recognized Farm Credit West as the 2019 Dairy Business of the Year and Ed Vink of

Kings County Dairy Herd Improvement Association (DHIA) as the 2019 Distinguished Dairy

Person. This year’s program was a partnership between the June Dairy Month committee and

District 7 Dairy Princess committee.

The Master of Ceremonies for the gala event was Dino Giacomazzi, a dairy farmer from Hanford

and recipient of the 2018 Dairy Family of the Year award. Joe Neves, District One Kings County

Board of Supervisors, was the Dairy Princess contest Master of Cermonies. Contestants were

judged on poise, personality, speaking ability, education and dairy background. Judges for the

contest were Shannon Fast of Fresno, Elizabeth Giannini of Visalia and Maureen Lemos of

Waterford. The Dairy Princess Co-Chairpersons are Jackie Giacomazzi and Debbie Raven. The

Dairy Princess Contest was catered by Cal’s Catering.
