Foodservice Update

Real California Pizza Contest Year one of the contest was a resounding success. You’ll hear more about this in upcoming board meetings and see a video recap. We plan to build this into a global pizza contest, adding Mexico next year and if successful, Asian markets beyond 2020. US Foods & Distributor Volume Incentive Program US Foods has signed an agreement, following in the footsteps of our successful Sysco program to utilize earned marketing funds in 2019. Marketing events have shifted to a test of a unique digital promotional platform that leverages US Foods technological advantages versus their competitors. We are one of twenty companies involved in this exciting new program. Trade Shows We attended the National Restaurant Show in Chicago which had attendance of 50,000. The CMAB booth had 9 processors and we generated 272 leads. Distributor Growth Program The “Made in California” program for 90%+ CA cheese and earning 50% of the RCM program marketing dollars is progressing. Some legal questions from the large Mozzarella processors are leading us to make some adjustments, but the core program idea has not changed and should bring opportunity for large incremental volume in 2020 and beyond.
