Visualization for Weight Loss -The Gabriel Method

The Positive Stresses

For one thing, when the FAT Programs are on, your body doesn’t want you to exercise because exercising will help you lose weight. And that’s the last thing that your body wants you to do. Remember, one of the chief components of the FAT Pro- grams is to force you to conserve energy. Your body makes you feel tired all the time. This is a deliberate mechanism your body uses to keep you inactive. When the FAT Pro- grams are on, just even thinking about exercise will make you feel tired. We have talked at length about the many ways you can turn off the FAT Programs, so once these issues have been resolved, the chemical and hormonal component of the “I hate exercise” equation will naturally go away. You will have much more energy, you will experience a new spring in your step, and you will actually want to exercise and be more active; that takes care of the chemical component. But there’s still the psychological component. There are still a whole host of negative associations you may have related to exercise. You also have to address those associa- tions before you can really enjoy exercise. So bear with me, and hang in there for a little while longer. Yours truly, Jon Exercise—The Best Stress of All to Make Your Body Want to Be Thin Exercise is valuable not because it burns calories but because, if done correctly, it can actually make your body want to be thin. Everyone knows exercise burns calories, but simply burning calories is useless if all it does is make you hungrier. If you burn more calories but you also need to eat more food, the net effect is zero.
