Sue was in a position that so many mothers find themselves in these days: overworked, overstressed, and with nothing left to give. Sue is another person that is near and dear to my heart. Before Sue moved down to Denmark (Australia), she was a mar- keting executive in Perth. After seeing me give a presentation at a local health club, she decided to take me under her wing, and she totally redesigned my book and my website. She did all this free of charge simply because she believed in what I was doing, and because she wanted to help me spread the word to the world. With her help, my book became a national bestseller in Australia within a couple of months. I’m also so grateful to have been able to give back to her as well. We sat down one day to talk about her weight, and I could clearly see that she was being pulled from so many directions and that she was being drained. Her weight was like a shield that she was using to keep the outside world and all of its demands at bay—a buffer between her and all of those that so desperately needed her. Sue’s story is really about reconnecting with her source. Time for Myself I never had much of a weight problem because I always loved exercising. Right up until three weeks before my baby was born, I was going to the gym five times a week and loving it.
