Part V: Making It Happen for You

First thing in the morning: First thing in the morning, as soon as you open your eyes, pick up the picture again, look at it, then close your eyes again and imagine yourself in perfect shape. Do this just for thirty seconds. Then imagine the rest of your day going exactly the way you would like it to go. Breakfast: Have a great breakfast. Eat anything you want, even including the sorts of foods you’d have for dinner. If you like eating grains and potatoes (something that I am not nec- essarily suggesting), mornings are the best times to eat them. Just remember to go organic and whole grain whenever possi- ble. Try to allow more time for either breakfast or lunch so you can eat somewhat leisurely. It would be terrific if you could eat one of these meals with your family so they become family meals. • First thing in the morning, on an empty stomach, have a probiotic and two glasses of water (see chapter 12). • I suggest taking at least two digestive enzyme capsules with breakfast. You can also take enzyme capsules with other meals (chapter 12). • Take five to ten grams of an omega-3 supplement. You can take them all at once or throughout the day (chapter 10). • I also recommend taking a multivitamin and a multimineral. Make sure your multivitamin includes vitamin E. Afternoon Snacks In the afternoon, have some healthy, preferably organic fruit and nuts, or any other “real” food I have recommended in this book. Water Drink a glass of water before each meal, before each snack, and lots of water at night (chapter 13). Supplements It’s also important to add the following supplements:
