I ncorporating these SMART Mode concepts and actions into your life is very simple, though it may seem like an over- whelming amount of information. The key to this shift is using visualization. All you need to do is develop the habit of practicing visuali- zation at night, for a few minutes, just as you are about to go to sleep, and then listen to my CD just after that. The CD addresses all the issues discussed in this section—mental and emotional starvation, emotional obesity, mental obesity, and visualization. If you don’t want to listen to the CD, have a ten-minute SMART Mode visualization session sometime during the day, pre- ferably first thing in the morning, right when you wake up. If you are really motivated, it’s better to do both. If you decide to do both, I suggest that you start by listening to the CD at night for a month and phase-in the SMART Mode visualization session in the second month. Month One: The Basics of Visualization Practice the following routine every morning and every evening for thirty consecutive days.
