Article 65.

To see if the Town will vote to determine when the tax lists named in Title 36, Section 505, 1964 Revised Statutes, as amended, shall be committed, the date when property taxes shall become due and payable, and from and after which interest on unpaid taxes shall be charged and collected at a rate not exceeding 6 percent per annum. To see if the Town will vote to set the interest to be paid by the Town on abated taxes not exceeding 0% (zero percent) for fiscal year 2020-2021. Rate of interest to be determined yearly by the Board of Selectmen. Shall the Town authorize the Tax Collector to accept prepayment of taxes not yet due or assessed and to pay interest thereon not exceeding 0% [zero percent] per year? Any excess paid in over the amount finally assessed shall be repaid with the interest due on the whole transaction, at the date that the tax finally assessed is due and payable. Rate of interest to be determined yearly by the Board of Selectmen.
